The Carcasso - Georgian Era Diamond 18k Gold Brooch

An incredible antique brooch estimated to have come to us from the 1830s late Georgian era featuring rose cut diamonds in a heavy 18k gold mounting.  The brooch came to us in a Marshall Field & Company Box with a certificate from Marshall Field & Company Antique Jewelry Collection reading "18 carat yellow gold bar brooch in an endless band pattern set with rose diamonds England, Ca 1830, number 312-2586"  From an Illinois estate

Metals: tested 18k yellow gold

Gemstones: Diamonds -  numerous rose cut diamonds, the total diamond weight of the brooch is roughly 2.75-3.25 carats, there is no uniform formula for calculating the weight of mounted rose cut diamonds so this is a roughly estimated weight

Diamonds measured and graded while set as mounting allows, all weights/grades are approximate

Markings: unmarked, tested platinum , pin stem tested 14k gold
