Antique Tiffany & Co. 14k Gold Purse c. Early 20th Century

Description: This one is a rare find. A beautiful early 20th century Tiffany & Co. 14k solid gold ladies fingerlet mesh purse. The frame features a gorgeous hand engraved floral design and comes with a double figural bud clasp. The inside of the frame is marked “Made for Tiffany & Co.” and the body of the purse is gold mesh. There is also an attached gold ring on a link chain. This purse has interesting provenance, it comes from a promenant family very well known both in New York and In Ohio, it belonged to Alexandra Emery Moore who was a known socialite , she was married to Benjamin Moore, great grandson of the famous author Clement Clarke Moore (“Twas the Night Before Christmas.”). Alexandra Emery is engraved on the top of the frame together with an Upper East Side address in Manhattan
