Description: You are looking at a beautiful antique pin.  This piece is a great representative of the Late Victorian period; we estimate production to late 19th Century. The pin features a floral design where we can see a carved curled gold bar with four blue and yellow enamel flowers each showcasing an old European cut Diamond in the center.  In the back we can see a safety C-catch typical in late Victorian pins.  The back of the brooch has an engraving "Grandfather Dec 25th 87" (possibly that’s 1887 although we can’t know for sure the time of the engraving).  This is a very old piece; we do see some loss of enamel as well as some tarnish on the gold.  Looking at this pin you can see that it was made in an era appreciative of elegance and beauty and holding it in your hands you get a wonderful feeling of the time gone by
